history of unilever
In the 1890s, William Hesketh Lever, founder of Lever Bros, wrote down his ideas for Sunlight Soap his revolutionary new product that helped popularise cleanliness and hygiene in Victorian England. It was 'to make cleanliness commonplace; to lessen work for women; to foster health and contribute to personal attractiveness, that life may be more enjoyable and rewarding for the people who use our products'.
This was long before the phrase 'Corporate Mission' had been invented, but these ideas have stayed at the heart of our business. Even if their language – and the notion of only women doing housework – has become outdated. In a history that now crosses three centuries, Unilever's success has been influenced by the major events of the day – economic boom, depression, world wars, changing consumer lifestyles and advances in technology. And throughout we've created products that help people get more out of life cutting the time spent on household chores, improving nutrition, enabling people to enjoy food and take care of their homes, their clothes and themselves.

copyright
Copywriting is written content conveyed through online media and print materials. Copy is a content primarily used for the purpose of advertising or marketing. This type of written material is often used to persuade a person or group as well as to raise brand awareness. copyright plays a big part in filming in the fact that it reduce what a film maker can do with the video without getting permission. film makers can use royalty free music and also must have so they don't advertise other company in the background or on people T-shirts.
Privacy
privacy law may be relevant for example film maker must make should they don't film private information for example passwords or personal email on screens they are filming or on paper. also this must make sure there are no personal records on show to the camera. they also must get permission to film they and any person it the film. The law allows people to bring actions for invasion of their privacy, for which the court can award damages. The level of damages is relatively low when compared to damages in libel. However, the legal costs of a case will usually be significantly higher than the damages awarded and are paid by the losing party.
Defamation
Defamation is the action of damaging the good reputation of someone; slander or libel. in corporate video you can't not undermined someone else company or say bad comment about and destroy there reputation. the four way to get sue is one, if you lowers them in the estimation of right-thinking members of the public. two, cause them to be shunned or avoided. three, disparages them in their office, trade or profession and lastly four, exposes them to hatred ridicule or contempt.

In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case.

Technologies
technologies can be cameras to lights and SD card. first there are many different cameras that you can use college and low budgets film use canon EOS 700 is use and is about £434 - £749 where as high budgeting film company's use camera like Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera. that range from £1,350 used and £1,856 new. you can also use a go pro to do action shots for example you can use the hero 4. There are also lots of editing software that can bee use to add music and to add SFX, for example premiere or final cut pro to do editing. for light you can use a roto light and a soft box that range from £20 to £40. Drones are a new toy in filming. the phantom 4 can film in 4k and the blades don't get in the way. one of the best drone on the market it about £1,200
The nature and purposes of research in the creative media industries
Research is fundamental to all aspects of creative media production and is the essential starting point for productions of any scale. It can be used to determine the financial viability of a future production, to gather a range of information relevant to the content of the production, or to assist with the planning of technical and logistical requirements.
There are also media companies which conduct extensive research using a range of sophisticated methods to gather data about audience consumption of media products and services. This has become increasingly necessary in the highly mixed and competitive environment media industries operate in. But an ability to undertake research is essential for anyone working in the media industries and is vital in many stages of production and distribution.
To complete this unit you need to demonstrate that you understand why and how research is conducted in the creative media industries. The maximum word limit is 1000 words. Remember to proof read your work before submission and check for spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors. As always use examples of your own research from your TV advert project.
Types/methods of research:

What are some examples? Interview techniques, observations, questionnaires, surveys, types of questions, focus groups, audience panels, participation in internet forums (self-generated e.g., own video, audio or photographic records of events).

The role of newsreader is tell you the new stories briefly and introduce the presenter and the role of the presenter is to tell you about the story in detail and give you the fact, also to interview the people related to the story if there is any. the skill need to present is to know how to interview people and to keep people interest in your story. the skill need for a newsreader is to make the new interest and to introduce the presenters.
the term news ordering means to put the new story in order to which is the most important. the story are put in a list call a running order. the most likely story is call the lead story and is select because it has the most impact on the audience. then the follow story are rank in term of interest to the audience. the reason it important for the news to act quickly because the stories change so they may have to change the running order. the last news story is called a round up.
Bias through selection and omission is when An editor can express bias by choosing whether or not to use a specific news story. Within a story, some details can be ignored, others can be included to give readers or viewers a different opinion about the events reported. Only by comparing news reports from a wide variety of sources can this type of bias be observed.
For example, if people boo during one of President Clinton's speeches, the booing can be described as "remarks greeted by jeers" or the boos can be ignored as "a handful of people who disagree".
Bias through placement: Where a story is placed influences what a person thinks about its importance. Stories on the front page of the newspaper are thought to be more important than stories buried in the back. Television and radio newscasts run stories that draw ratings first and leave the less appealing for later.
Bias by headline: Headlines are the must-read part of a newspaper because they are often printed in large and bold fonts. Headlines can be misleading: conveying excitement when the story is not exciting; expressing approval or disapproval.
Bias by photos, captions, and camera angles: Pictures can make a person look good, bad, sick, silly, etc. Which photos a newspaper chooses to run can heavily influence the public's perception of a person or event. On TV, images, captions, and narration of a TV anchor or reporter can be sources of bias.
Bias through use of names and titles: News media often use labels and titles to describe people, places, and events. In many places around the world, one person's friend is another person's enemy.
For example, a person can be called an "ex-con" or be referred to as someone who
"served time twenty years ago for a minor offense."
Bias by choice of words: People can be influenced by the use of positive or negative words with a certain connotation. People can also be influenced by the tone that a newscaster uses when saying certain words.

performative documentaries
performative documentary is when the film maker gets involved in the documentary being the main subject and also evidently tells the audience the truths on the subject in hand. Deeply personal, the performative mode is particularly well-suited to telling the stories of filmmakers from marginalized social groups, offering the chance to air unique perspectives without having to argue the validity of their experiences.

conclusion
my philosophy as a film maker is that documentaries should show accurate and factual information about the subject and show the truth behind the story. but it is also important to show to show the film makers point and to his side of the story and his opinions on the matter.
